  1. I have been sober of alcohol since 9/19/16 when I was diagnosed with cirrhosis, given less than a year to live and was put on the transplant list at age 47. Got paracentesis once a week to drain fluid leaked from the liver to my abdomen, one day they took out 5 liters. I started taking 15mg of CBD in pill form and smoking about a gram of bud a day since diagnosis. Since the diagnosis later on I started eating about a gram of decarbed kief and dabbing .5 gram a day too. My MELD (Model for End-stage Liver Disease) score is a 6 now, the lowest the scale goes and considered normal function. The liver is one of only two organs your body has that can regenerate, and has cannabinoid CB1 and CB2 receptors for cannabis to help with healing. I also cut fat and salt from my diet, and started taking caffeine (liver doctor gave me a paper that says 2-3 cups a day of coffee is good for your liver). Written 9/16/2020
